Greetings and salutations. Tobin here. I have been gone again. I had to take care of a matter. Most of you do not understand what it is like to have to patrol one's territory. My kind are extremely territorial and we have to fight to keep others from invading.
You did not realize I was not the only one? I'm not only not the only Star Child on this planet, but I am also not the only type of Star Child here. There are many different races of us here, now. Used to be there were only three main types of us on the planet. Now, the breeds of Star Children inhabiting this world are nearly as varied as the human race. We have different genetically-inherited features, such as skin tone, color, height, weight, mannerisms, etc. Whatever helps each of us blend more easily into human society - these are the things our creators are continually updating. The difficulty with all this variety, however, is that we each hold to different tenants or beliefs and different codes of conduct. For example, several of the groups here believe you are cattle to be farmed and used as we see fit. Of course, we are all here to use you to some degree for our own purposes. It's just that some Star Children tend more toward domination as opposed to integration. And, when individuals from one group stray into another group's territory, there are issues. Also, as you may have noticed, advanced technology does not necessarily beget advanced ideology. In fact, from what I have observed in humans, the more advanced one group becomes the more it trends toward hostility to any who oppose it. Granted, my kind do live in the shadows off human society - as we must. However, we also have access to many technologies humans have not yet even imagined. And if you think the human race has a monopoly on violence and unrest, you'd best think again. The puny wars you wage look like child's play to the rest of the Universe. If the population of this world ever discovered what is really going on here, there would be an overnight breakdown of every social system controlling your populations! Thus, Star Children are taught from the beginning of their entrance into Second Life to fiercely guard their chosen territory from others. Humans can be handled quite easily. But if a new Star Child were to gain a foothold in another's territory, it could mean the end of a program for the established Child's mentors. No race wants that. Unlike humans, we deal in centuries and millennia - so when we lose ground, the cost is astronomical. That is what has occupied my time since last I communicated with you. Thankfully, I emerged victorious and the interloper into my territory has been vanquished. It took a lot of help from some dear friends, but we survived. I am not so naïve as to think for one second this will be the last attempt made for my territory. But I feel I am well-established here and I would not wish to lose all I have gained in this region. For now, my chosen home and stomping grounds are safe. I have survived and will live to fight another day. In the meantime, I can only focus on succeeding in my efforts toward completing my mission here. Should I accomplish that, the world - and the Universe itself - will be forever changed. That is all I have for you today. Either I or Ms. Brody will write again soon. I am always happy to receive comments and /or questions, as well. Thank you for your time and, until next time, I wish you peace. Sincerely, Tobin

Hi there. Teagan here. For those of you who are new to this site, I am the "mouthpiece" of a Star Child named Tobin. Tobin has gone away again on another scouting trip. I guess this shouldn't surprise me. After all, think of all the people in the world with light-colored eyes! Just the ones in North America alone would take lifetimes to get through.
For him to do the work he does without being "discovered" by the general public is quite a feat. He's only chosen to communicate with the masses through me because he knows I will keep his true identity secret. Had he not wanted to do this blog through me, I never would have suggested such a thing. But he did want to do it. In fact, he's the one who suggested it! A part of me feels pity for him, always having to live in the shadows and all. Of course, since I discovered exactly what it is he does when he finds a viable candidate, I can't entirely empathize with his plight. I mean, I am human - fully human, you know? But he's all right. To be honest, I think I'm drawn to him because he's the only one I've met who knows anything about the ideas that have ruled my life for the past few years. Ever since I had this one dream and then the visions started, I have not been allowed to focus on anything else no matter how much I tried. So, I finally gave in and focused all my attention on what I was being shown. Because of this, I have lost many things. I even came within mere days of losing my life, according to the medical professionals. But it seems other plans have been made for me. I think what I've been given has more than made up for the things I've lost. For this I am eternally thankful. That's why I must continue writing. Perhaps this is a calling? Who knows? All I know is I've been shown some pretty miraculous things and I believe I was meant to share them with the rest of the world. That sounds insane! Who would believe such tripe? Tobin. He believed me right from the start. You cannot imagine how relieved I was to finally have someone to talk with regarding all the crazy things spinning around in my head. Not only did he believe me, but he even knew some of the story I didn't! He supplied the entire human side of things - well, nearly all of it. I dressed it up a bit so it would fit with the side of the story I had already written. But I didn't know there was a whole other side to the story. The information he supplied filled in parts of the story I had thought were inconsequential. Turns out those parts were much more vital to the storyline than I could ever have imagined and they ended up tying everything together in the end. There are so many of history's greatest mysteries explained in the story now. I'm amazed because I now know the answers to things featured on shows like Ancient Aliens, all without ever having been to those places or having spoken with any of those learned individuals who have made it their life's work to explore mysterious parts of our world and to discover answers to the things that have plagued mankind since time immemorial. They're close. They really are. I look forward to talking with those same people about the things I've written. Now all I have to do is to find someone in the publishing industry willing to take a chance on an unknown author. And, find that someone I shall. In the meantime, I can take comfort in the knowledge that I am not alone in this endeavor. I have Tobin in my life. Also, someone somewhere has charged me with the task of getting this information out to the world. That means it will happen. Although, I am realistic enough to understand it could happen after I expire! All the more reason to go ahead and finish writing the remaining two books, along with the little bit of book five still left undone, I guess. Ah well, WWTSD? (Guess I'll have to wait until next year to find out!) Additionally, I know I've already tweeted about this, but I would like to formally thank the guys in the musical group Muse for their contribution to the creation of my Urban Fantasy book series ULTRA. Before I met Tobin, it was their lyrics that helped keep me in the right frame of mind to get everything into some semblance of order so I could actually see the story for what it was. Without their songs, I do not know that I would have "seen the light", so to speak. I shall forever be grateful to Muse and I hope I can repay them someday. With that said, I bid you adieu. Sincerely, Teagan Brody |
