Signs Of Humanity...

Tobin here.  This will be a brief statement on recent happenings in the United States.  I have seen and heard many things over the past two days that might lead one to believe mankind has lost its sense of humanity.  The very act of violence that resulted in the deaths of so many might have been enough to jade some.  But there is another side to this that should be considered.  Indeed, it needs to be emphasized anytime this subject arises.  The heroism shown by so many during the crisis must be put in the spotlight.

Understand that every waking moment of my existence focuses on the idea of this thing called humanity, so I obsess about it.  I have questioned its existence during my time here.  I believe anyone who has matured beyond puberty has.  But after all this time on Earth, it consoles my aching and weary heart to see such clear evidence of humanity.

Thank you, all of you who rushed to help during the massacre, thinking not of your own safety but only of helping your fellow humans.  You should be the focus and you are in my mind.  As the world mourns the loss of loved ones who died in this senseless incident and the media focuses on the one who perpetrated it, please know that your selfless acts of compassion will be remembered by so many.
